In 2011 Mr. Bekesh was awarded the “Philanthropist of the Year” Award by the AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals FL, Nature Coast Chapter). Bekesh was nominated by YFA and Morton Plant Mease Foundation.
The “Philanthropist of the Year” program notes Mr. Bekesh and “His obvious and ardent nature of giving is truly inspiring and exactly the credential necessary to be recognized as the Philanthropist of the Year”. This honor rightfully notes how the Bekesh family has created a “positive epidemic” of giving back to their community.
